The lunch on Saturday, November 13th, at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club was a resounding success, with a record 88 guests in attendance.
A highlight of the event was the performance of the Guild’s 2021 Career Development Grant winner, countertenor Shane Hanson, and UBC opera students Leila Kirves, Gabriel Chona and Matthew McLennan. They were accompanied by Richard Epp and introduced by Nancy Hermiston.
Our special luncheon guests included four of our 2020 and 2021 CDG judges, David Agler, Heather Pawsey, Kristina Szabo and Jim Wright.
The three-course lunch was delicious and there was an array of lovely items in the silent auction.
The occasion was especially delightful as attendees were able to get together again and enjoy each other’s company.
