We had a record attendance at our luncheon on March 11th at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. It was drizzling late morning but the sun came out and even a rainbow appeared over the North Shore mountains. Spring was definitely in the air!
Six wonderful UBC students sang for us. Each sang an aria and the finale was an ensemble rendition of Brindisi from La Traviata. Bravi Mara Aye, Christina Demeo, Emma Jang, Ian McCloy, Liam Robertson and Yuhui Wang. And many thanks to Wen Wen Du, their accompanist and, of course, to Nancy Hermiston, chair of UBC School of Music’s Voice and Opera division.
